- Rain destroys many shelters in the IDP camp of Kalma. A female teacher told Radio Dabanga that many class rooms collapsed. A resident of the camp told Radio Dabanga today that water is all over the camp and mosquito is thriving in the ponds. He added that they sought help from Government's agencies but received no help. The resident said one of the new NGOs dropped very few mosquito nets the amount so little (less than 1%) that leaders decided not to distribute fearing violence and other problems it may cause. Another resident said that the services of the expelled NGOs are greatly missed.
- A janjaweed faction lead by a renowned leader ( Hamidti) terrorized city of Nyala yesterday when started shootings in a neighborhood in the city. The militia shot dead two civilians. The militia continued their terror campaign, riding on vehicles and firing bullets at random.
